TEEN THERAPY

You are worried about your teen because they are no longer connecting with you and seem a bit off. You don't want to bring it up for fear that it might make things worse. They are spending more time in their room and seem uninterested in anything you suggest. You don't know if this is just a phase or if this is something more. You need someone who is able to connect with your teen from the first session. Help your teen improve their self-esteem and confidence through therapy. Allow them to become happy and hopeful for the future.

WOMEN'S THERAPY

You are feeling overwhelmed, unsure of yourself, and dead inside. Things that once brought you joy are now a chore. It is getting difficult to maintain your positive attitude and you feel like people are taking advantage of you. You feel like you are at a breaking point, and you're not sure if you have the energy this time. You have accomplished great things before and you will do it again. You can prioritize yourself and feel confident. You can be the woman who is proud and unapologetically yourself.

ADDICTIONS THERAPY FOR TEENS

You are so angry and so worried all at the same time. You never expected this to happen with your child. Yelling and giving consequences seems like the right move, but you know that will only push them away further. If you approach it with empathy will there be any changes? And what about their future? You can't talk to others about it because then your child will be labeled as a bad kid. Let's get them back on the track towards a bright future. Give them the chance to be the achieving nurse, vet, or dancer they dreamed about when they were young. Allow them to learn healthy coping skills now that will carry them through life.

THERAPY FOR GEN Z AND MILLENNIALS

You are finally an adult, but you were not prepared for this and it's a lot. You are excited to be starting your life on your own, but it's really scary. You do not feel like you were adequately prepared for this and the world is in chaos. The pressure feels like is coming from all directions and it's overwhelming. You wanted this time to be light and full of adventures. You are waiting for the day you wake up to confidence and a calm mind. A future where your dreams are achievable and you are secure with yourself. A place where you know what you want and believe it is achievable.

My favorite thing about therapy is watching clients achieve goals and leave more confident then when they first started. One of the biggest benefits of therapy is you start to see yourself as a priority.

MARIA DUNBLAZIER,
MS, NCC, LPCC, LADC

I know, it's a lot of letters that don't mean much to most people. Basically the fancy letters mean I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Licensed Addictions Therapist who provides psychotherapy. The short of it is you are in good hands. I did all the school, passed all the tests, and now I'm out here providing mental health services to people like you.

My goal as a therapist is to help you become more empowered, confident, and loving towards yourself. You might not realize it but you are able to get where you want to be in life. You can do incredible things once you prioritize yourself and believe in yourself. Unfortunately real life is not like the movies and you don't just wake up to the perfect life. You have to create your wonderful life.

I have a wide variety of education about all things mental health. I have been trained in adult and adolescents DBT, Trauma Therapy, and Addictions Therapy. I have spent time working in community mental health, high schools, and college. I work with people suffering from mental illness and also people just wanting to improve their lives.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW DO I MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?

Simply call, email, or reach out and let me know you are interested in starting therapy. I currently have openings days and evenings.

WHAT IS TELEHEALTH THERAPY?

Telehealth is having your session using video or a phone call. You can see me from the comfort of your home, on your lunch break, after school, or during your child's nap time. You don't need to spend time traveling to an office or taking off work for your appointment. With 24/7 online scheduling and evening appointments therapy can fit into your schedule now.

All clients must reside in the state of Minnesota. 

WHAT IS THE COST OF THERAPY?

At this time I am accepting private pay only. If you have insurance I would be an "out of network provider." Look into your insurance benefits for additional information. I do have some lower fee spots. Please contact me for additional information.

Initial Assessment (45 min.): $140

Following sessions (45 min.): $100

Couples sessions (45 min.): $120

Consultation sessions: $100

HOW LONG WILL I NEED THERAPY?

I most often recommend starting with weekly therapy. Once some progress is made we can discuss scheduling appointments further apart. My goal is to get you in and out of therapy not to create a lifelong commitment to therapy. However therapy is not a quick fix. It took years to develop these habits, it is likely going to take some time to develop new ones. Length of time will look different depending on the person and their specific concerns.

WHAT IF I AM UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE AND WANT TO TRY THERAPY.

If you are under the age of 18 please have talk with your guardian about wanting to start therapy and have your guardian reach out.

WHAT IF I AM NOT YOUR TYPICAL CLIENT?

If you don't fall under one of the categories whom I typically serve, but still think we are a good fit, feel free to reach out. I may still be able to help or I might have an appropriate referral for you.
